First and foremost, welcome to DevOps Footprints! I'm Onur Rıdvanoğlu, and I've made the decision to create a blog site on the internet where I may share my adventures in the always-changing field of DevOps. I will be sharing my ideas, experiences, and lessons gained about various DevOps tools, methods, and certification processes on this blog. I will be focusing on cloud platforms and Kubernetes-related topics since it has become an important part of my work life.
Why This Blog?
I've been thinking about sharing my experiences with a larger audience for a long time but I guess always something came up. As you all know, the grind never stops.
After completing the Kubestronaut program I've noticed that people who'll also walk down the same road as me might need some help or guidance along the way. So that's how I decided to put aside my other work and get started on this blog.
I've always found learning new tools and troubleshooting to be really satisfying. The chance to assist others by sharing knowledge and advice I've learned along the road, however, is just as fulfilling. Whether it's through documentation, forums, or other tech blogs (especially Stackoverflow :)), the community has helped me grow, and this blog is my way of giving back to the community itself.
"Charting the path of DevOps mastery, one footprint at a time."
Picking Out the Name
After deciding that I was going to write my own blog, I had to figure out the name of the blog, which was a critical part for me (I honestly don't know why). Using my first and last name sounded cheesy because it felt unrelated to everything that I've wanted to write about. I wanted it to be unique and meaningful. I was sure that name had to involve DevOps somehow.

As I mentioned before, I wanted to guide people in the community who wanted to do the same things or follow a somewhat similar pathway as me.
So that's when I came up with the name DevOps Footprints. People who would walk down the same path as me would follow my footsteps, so that they'll be guiding themselves through my own footprints that I've left along my own personal journey.
Why Now?
The decision to start this blog wasn't made overnight, or maybe it was. I'm still not sure how I came up with the idea or how I started writing these lines. I guess after getting the Kubestronaut title made me feel achieved at some level and wanted to achieve more. While doing so, I'd record these experiences to share with the internet.
This blog is as much for me as it is for you. It’s a space to document my thoughts, organize my knowledge, and stay motivated in my continuous pursuit of becoming a master in DevOps.
I'm excited to see where this journey will take us. Whether you're here to learn something new, DevOps journey insights, get certification tips, or simply exchange ideas, I hope you find DevOps Footprints a valuable resource. Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to sharing more with you in the posts to come!
